FCC and Industrie Canada Statement:
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.

EMC Statement applicable to V.35:
When connecting to the HSM Model 8 series, installers are advised that the shield of the V.35 cable must be connected to the equipment chassis to ensure compliance with the requirements of EN55022 Class B and FCC Part 15 Class B.
On the HSM Model 8 all interfaces (including those marked DTE) are SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltages) and are for connection to internal IT equipment only. There are no direct connections made to either a modem, analogue telephone or digital subscriber line type interface.
